Queen Street, Old Town Alexandria

1213 and 1215 Queen Street Historic Renovations and Addition was approved by Alexandria’s Board of Architectural Review in 2021.  The owners of the property Donald and Janet Devers application to the BAR included the demolishing of the rear garage at 1215 Queen.  The original masonry blocks were incorporated into the new retaining wall at the front of the property.  The new design for both properties included a the installation of new windows, front door pediment, and re-configuration of the existing roof for drainage towards Queen street utilizing three conductors at the front of the homes.  A new slat sideway and fencing details are being installed.  Seen above is: Roger at Signature renovations overseeing the details.
